The human form is one of the most interesting and rewarding subjects and artist can paint. Human form offers the opportunity not found in any other subject for the possibilities of expression, and the chance to portray a variety of feelings through expression.
Often, the human form, or portrait focuses on realism, creating a likeness to the subject that will be recognizable. This is not always necessary; one can also do wonderful human forms in the most abstract of paintings.
For this contest, post a work that shows the human form. This contest is for both Traditional and Digital artists (Pen & ink, pencil, watercolors, charcoal, computer art, etc.). No photography. No art that begins with a photograph. To submit an entry that uses photography please see the Human Form Photography contest.
The winners will be selected by the FanArtReview.com Contest Committee. A winner will be announced approximately one to two weeks after the deadline passes. The decision is final.
The winner takes away a $100 cash prize. Second place will win twenty-five member dollars. Third place ten member dollars.
