Hydrangeas are one of the most loved summer flowers. When I was young they only came in white and we called them 'snow-ball' flowers. Now they come in red, pink, purple, and blue and dress up the foundation plantings around many homes. However, they are quite difficult to photograph and it's rare you find one in a competition. The purpose of this competition is to help other learn how to take a hydrangea photo. Please record your camera and its settings. Add in details about the setting, distance from the flowers, time of day, etc. And include all your post-processing procedures. A factor in the judging is how educational your photo and the notes are to others. Let's see what you can come up with. If you live in an area without hydrangeas, contact me with a reasonable substitute and we will see what we can work out.
(The photo may be of a single blossom or the entire (or a portion of) bush.
If you don't have any expertise, that's fine, google it, practice what you have learned and then teach us.
