Especially when you are concentrating on following the Rule of Thirds, sometimes it needs some balance. If you have the subject positioned off to one side and negative space in the other, the image will appear unbalanced or too heavy on one side. Take a Photograph or create an image that shows balance in the image. Balance determines whether the image is pleasing and harmonious or feeling uncomfortable and unresolved. Centering is not considered balance, so think about it differently, like leading lines taking you from one object to another, or a large focal point and a small offset in the distance.
