High Key Photography
High Key Photography - This is a photography contest.
High-key lighting is a style of lighting for photography that aims to reduce the lighting ratio present in the scene. It is used to suggest an upbeat mood. High-key lighting is usually free from dark shadows. A high key image feels airy and light and it overlights subject to reduce contrast.
Editing is allowed but only minor mixed media.
What does that mean:
These are O.K. for the purpose of this contest
● Cropping
● Sharpening
● Contrast, exposure adjustments
● Cloning out of blemishes and imperfections
● Filters such as Topaz Adjust or NIK Colorflex for the purpose of enhancement
These are not allowed for this contest
● Other Photomanipulations and filters such as painterly, blur, distortion or texture effects
● Layers
● Vignettes or fog filters
● Excess toning in RAW process
I hope this clarifies a bit what can and can?t be done in post processing for this contest.
If you have questions, please send me a PM rather than a thread here, or do both so I will know to look :)
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Monday, June 22, 2015.
