HDR photography
The topic for this general photography contest is: High-dynamic-range (HDR) photography. This is a 'true HDR' contest, meaning you will be working with 3 (or more) differently exposed images, merging them in a software of your choice.
Submit a photograph that somehow incorporates the topic. The photograph should clearly be about the topic. Edits of photos are permitted. Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
No digital art or traditional artwork should be submitted.
High-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI or HDR) is a set of techniques used in imaging and photography to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminance levels than can be achieved using more standard digital imaging or photographic techniques. High-dynamic-range photographs are generally achieved by capturing multiple standard exposure images which are then merged (usually within a photo manipulation program) into a single HDR image through a process of tone mapping. Several software applications are available on the PC, Mac and Linux platforms for producing HDR files and tone mapped images. Notable titles include Adobe Photoshop, Dynamic Photo HDR, HDR PhotoStudio, Luminance HDR, Photomatix Pro... (Wikipedia).
Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Thursday, September 17, 2015.
