Paint and Share
The topic for this Traditional Art contest is: PAINT AND SHARE....
instead of "Show and Tell".
What this contest is all about is.....You should paint something that you own or a friend owns or you could borrow....etc. (Not the sunset or unless you can capture the exact same sunset in a picture next to your painting of that sunset.) Then when you have completed your painting, you must place the item that you painted next to your painting so it is included in the picture you are going to submit.
What that means is, for example, you select your favorite lazy boy chair to paint. You proceed to paint that lazy boy. Then when done painting it, place your painting next to the lazy boy chair you just painted and take a picture of both the painting and the chair together. Your submission for this contest would include your painting of the lazy boy placed next to that lazy boy that you painted. Your submission will include both. Hopefully that does not sound too confusing.
Even though this is a Traditional Artwork, regular black Pen & ink, pencil, and charcoal should not be utilized....Only paints....acrylic, watercolors, combination, or colored ink, colored pencils, crayons, etc.) ONLY. Your submission MUST BE IN COLOR. NO BLACK AND WHITE. No photography, digital art or any form of artwork that uses a photograph.
Create a Traditional Artwork that somehow incorporates the topic. The artwork should clearly be about the topic. Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.
Paint something IN COLOR.
In your submission include both your painting and the item you painted.
HAVE FUN. GO AND BE CREATIVE. LOOK AROUND AND SEE WHAT YOU MAY WANT TO PAINT AND RESERVE YOUR SPOT. THEN PAINT, PAINT, PAINT. But do not forget to submit it prior to the deadline (smile).
