Bokeh
The topic for this Mixed Media Photography contest is: CREATE YOUR BOKEH.
Please submit a Mixed Media Photograph (a form of art that uses software to create art from photographs), or digital art composition with a bokeh overlay, or naturally occurring bokeh effect.
If you are familiar with mixed media photography and digital art you have probably already heard about the concept known as bokeh. Bokeh is defined as "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light", however, many digital art and photo editing software also offers bokeh effects, bokeh overlay and masks of different colors and shapes. Bokeh tends to appear in the areas of an image that remain outside the focal region, but I've seen many nice bokeh effects cleverly used right on the subject itself.
Entries will be judged first and foremost how the artist applied the bokeh effect to enhance a photograph. The submitted mixed media work/digital art work must show a sharp foreground and softer background on a chosen subject or topic.
