Can You Believe Your Eyes?
Someone told me once upon a time....SCIENCE, ART, MAGIC and PHILOSOPHY are brought to a tumultuous head in the "seeing" of a visual illusion. The experience is a challenge to the truth of human perception. For this particular contest, you must submit AN ILLUSION....something that will activate the intellect and imagination of all viewers.
Please if you have seen it somewhere before or you are looking at it in a book right now or are creating it yourself, PLEASE do mention the person's name and or book title or tell us that you personally created it....Remember Copyright laws....but for this contest you are merely sharing with us someone Else's works, if not your own. Consider this perhaps a teaching device that will inform us, the viewers, and delight our curiosities as well.
Please use any median....pen, pencil, crayon, magic marker, etc....to draw your optical illusion. However, no photographs; no digital art; and no mixed media.
In your description, please do tell us a little bit about THE ILLUSION you have drawn, whether it be a shape, size or length distortion, estimation and depth perception, or a visual oddity, OR SOMETHING completely different not mentioned here.
