Can You See Those Faces?

The topic for this Mixed Media Photography contest is: CAN YOU SEE THOSE FACES?.

For this contest you will be submitting a collage of not less than 3 but not more than 7 photos. What makes this a Mixed Media contest is simply because you will be submitting a collage filled with photographs....YOU WILL NOT be changing the photographs in order to create something different. For this contest you must find one particular place/item/location you will be taking all of your shots from. You will locate either a wall, a ceiling, a floor, a carpet, a concrete street or something else to take all of your shots. After you locate your so called item....[I will use a wall to provide you with an example of what you must do....] you will look at it; study it and try to find faces on the wall. (NOTE: Have you ever sat in a dentist chair and as you stare up at the ceiling, you start making out various things.... faces, animals, objects just to name a few.) Well for this contest, you will basically be doing the same thing except you will be looking for ONLY faces. They do not have to be the complete face (head, hair, ears, neck, etc) but your face should contain enough parts of a face so when one looks at it, they can definitely see that it is a face.

Remember, only select one wall or one ceiling, etc. Do not choose, for example, one building and then go to several walls within that building to get all your snapshots of faces. In your artist's notes you must include where and what...for example: " I chose to go into our local mall (name of Mall) here in (fill in the blank) and at the main entry way I chose the wall on my immediate left. I located 5 faces that are all included in my collage! " YOU may NOT use actual faces that someone has painted or drawn on the wall. You must find the image of a face within the wall, ceiling, etc. [Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me.] Do not make this more difficult than it really is. Do not use clouds or landscape (i.e. gardens, etc) and do not use an item that is already geared to have someone find faces within it like a jigsaw puzzle or carpeting that is has geometric figures that is meant to have faces within it. But you may use carpeting with geometrics if it is just plain old carpet. Please only use slight edits within your photos. No elaborate editing. We just want to see that face that you found so one can locate faces within it. Just take a few shots (3, 4, 5, 6 or 7) of faces that you personally found and create a collage and submit it. THAT IS IT! Have fun with this....okay? Okay!

PLEASE NOTE THAT when you look at each photo within your completed collage, you can readily see a face. If you are struggling to make out a face in a photo, then we the viewers will probably also be struggling. I would highly suggest you replace that photo with a better one. When looking at your collage, each photo should have some kind of a face that is not difficult to see. It may take us a couple minutes initially, but once we see it, we will know it is there. I hope this make sense. Like I said, you have problems, issues, questions....Contact me. I will help you the best way possible for me to do so.

The final work should be about the topic provided. Creative approaches are welcomed. But contest voters will be asked to consider the topic when making a choice for a winner.

Deadline: Contest is closed. Deadline was Monday, June 26, 2017.
