Forever Marilyn is my homage to Andy Warhol.

Andy Warhol ( August 6, 1928 ? February 22, 1987) was an American artist who was a leading figure in the visual art movement known as pop art. His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertisement that flourished by the 1960s.

Forever Marilyn is a giant statue of Marilyn Monroe designed by Seward Johnson. The statue is a representation of one of the most famous images of Monroe, taken from the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch
I took a picure of this statue displayed at an exhibition honoring Seward in New Jersey in Aug this year.

I used PS to convert the image to match the style of the Pop Art in the 60s.

ENJOY!
