Flood damage in Grampians

In January 2011 there was widespread flooding in some parts of Australia and the Grampians National Park was hit by landslides, road collapse and trees being uprooted and dropping branches. Parts of the National Park remained closed for sometime and still remain closed to the public even now. Along one of the trails we were walking the devastation could be seen by the amount of trees uprooted. Areas such as this spread for miles and one hopes that they are not hit by bushfire during the coming summer as the ground would be like a tinderbox.
