We are having a very mild summer so far this year so was out and about with the camera along Adelaide's River Torrens (we actually only have 2 rivers in the state being the driest in Australia). Unusual for a Pelican to be on these waters as they normally prefer the cleaner and bigger River Murray but this one was skimming food then taking a big swallow so close to the edge of the pathway totally unaware of me approaching with camera in hand. As I only have limited editing program I had to crop tightly to get rid of the rubbish which people insist in throwing away in river instead of bins provided :(
