Once again while we were on holidays in Victoria in October we went to a local winery at the foot of Mt Macedon. Up in the gumtree were two or three kookaburras surveying the area and giving an occassional laugh - probably at me trying to get a clear view with a 300mm lens when they elected to sit at one of the highest points naturally higher than I would have liked. Although these birds are native to Australia they also seem to be elusive when I have a camera in hand but I did manage to take a few shots and felt this one acceptable.
