Along the river bank

A chapter in the book Birds

Muscovy Duck - I think

My daughter and I went to St Peters Billabong yesterday which is near the River Torrens and only a couple of km from Adelaide. I have been there before and seen these unusual ducks which seem to reside near the river. This is one of a pair of white muscovy ducks (I think that is the type). They had been swimming but decided to come out and check up on what we were doing. They are quite used to people as the bike/walking track is right next to this part of the river.

The focus is a little soft I know but still thought it was reasonably ok - George and Sange have offered some advice for my bird photography which is appreciated and I hope to get out there again and practice some more. Not sure I will ever get to their amazing standard. :)
