Man Impacted Landscape Contest Entry

This was the largest, most profitable and longest operating mine in Maldon. It was the last major mine to close, ceasing operations in 1926. The stone arches of the kilns distinguish them from others by the nature of their design and workmanship built in 1864. Ruins now but still have an impact on the landscape after all these years.
