The old lady stood in period costume surveying the street. She had just had a number of school children (also in period costume) in the cottage for a sewing lesson in huckleback embroidery. We went inside the cottage and she showed us some of the beautiful work that both she and her students had started. Each Tuesday they come to her for an hour and are excited to learn this form of embroidery from the 1800's.
