Cooktown is 3408km (2118 miles) away from Adelaide where we live and without a 4 wheel drive you cannot travel any further north into Cape York these waterfalls being the last accessible point 32km north of Cooktown. The track to the waterfalls was muddy and slippery and we also had to watch out for crocodiles although reasonably safe prior to sunset when they usually wake up looking for a feed.
