Apparently this species of friarbird are normally found further north in Queensland but I checked with an Australian Bird ID site to make sure I had correctly identified it, I guess birds aren't as aware of the boundaries :) I had accidentally deleted all the files on this SD card but managed to find a recover program and retrieved most - some were corrupted. Was glad to get this one back as he had been on the large plant by our balcony of the apartment we were staying in and quite happy looking down as we sat drinking coffee. Sorry Dick could do absolutely nothing about his tail :)
