Kangaroo Island Echidna

Echidna and Platypus both egg bearing mammals endemic to Australia are very hard to find out in their natural habitat and I have been lucky to see both - the platypus I got to see last year during our road trip and the echidna this year during our visit to Kangaroo Island. They are extremely shy and if they hear you roll into a little spiky ball, which this one did so I couldn't get any closer just had to wait till he felt confident I had gone and he moved on - they climb over and under any branches which are on the bushland floor.
