People Are Strange By The Doors
People are strange when youre a stranger
Faces look ugly when youre alone
Women seem wicked when youre unwanted
Streets are uneven when youre down
When youre strange
Faces come out of the rain
When youre strange
No one remembers your name

This is a compostion study for my next painting project.
Two traditional artworks are combined.
The song has stocked in my mind so long time (may be even years). When I heard this song at very first time, there was certain part of me that was perfectly echo with it. I have been thinking about making artwork about this emotional invoke since, but that is just a feel and I don't know just how to express it. So this is a bigger project to me than one could imagine. To draw all 26 faces (with all different expression, I hope?), it took about a whole week, and now I am just about transforming this to the painting. My wish to you is to understand the implication of this song in this artwork (rather than technical minded eyes only).

Visit Monologue Art BiographyI am a geomatics / software engineer and always struggling to find a time for the artworks between my busy schedules. The art is my lifetime hobby and dream, but had not been quite persistent. In 2005, I had a near-death experience, but I somehow had pulled out of it. The incident could be fortunate, in a way, as my whole perspective toward life has somehow changed. I cannot stop feeling that I am still here for some reason, and it is my destiny to find it.
