Rod . is my name,I was born in Queensland Australia in 1946, I live in Cleveland by the bay.My Initial art training began at trade coledge in 1965,with geometric design being a major part of my trade course.I went on to establish A business designing & manufacturing Architectural moldings for the building industry.Through a friend,who is a very talented & accomplished artist,I developed a pashion for the wet into wet watercolor technique, and have studied & practiced for seven years now. My family business Branched out into contracting & import export And the junior members are now in control since my retirement two years ago.My paintings are pure watercolor,I have not yet experimented with oil or mixed media.The only place my work has been exhibited is at a friends tourist establishment,and I have sold several pieces.My work consists of equine,land,sea,& snow scapes & some still life.I look forward to sharing my work on this site,hopeing to advance and hopfully to help others to advance also.I beleave I will find the concept of this site Beneficial and satisfying. (ADDITIONS TO PROFILE) posted 24/9/09 I have recently completed the Scenic rim show cercuit fine art section,which includs Gannungra, Goldcoast, Beaudesert, Beenleigh, and Tamborine Mtn. I entered several categories and used only work from my portfolio on this site. My results, one show champion, one reserve champion, seven first, five seconds, three thirds, and one highly comenses. I am planing to wyden my show and art award entries through the coming year and post results here as an addition to my profile. Regards Rod.
