In the middle of 'downtown' Larkspur

Good Old Days

I drive by this property most every time I leave my home. I have attempted photographing this place many times, over the fence. I wasn't satisfied with the shots I got, so I stopped by the realtor business and they told me who owned it and where they lived.

Ran into another problem, the entire property was posted including threatening signs to those that did not obey. I parked my Jeep on the outside of the property and carefully inched my way toward a door when out came a little elderly lady armed with a fly swatter! Yelling at me wanting to know if I just couldn't read or if I was just plain stupid. I told her, "Sure do feel pretty stupid right this minute". She kept coming closer, waving that fly swatter, I was in such shock, all I could think to do was turn around, bend over and take what I had comin' ! At that point I heard such incredible joyful laughter, she smacked me on my rear gently then was eager to talk. I finally got permission to walk on the property. At that moment I decided I would much rather be lookin' down a double barrel shotgun with a man behind it than facing a female with a fly swatter!! And I am 'dead' serious about that!!!!!!!!

The 'pink' thing on the side of the outhouse is a dummy that used to prop up against the outhouse.
