This is a female Ruby throated humming bird on her nest! This is a rare thing to see, at least for me it is. I have only seen one other when I was a teen! This nest is made of cottonwood fiber, spider web to hold it together and tree liken for camouflage. You can see some of the fiber in her beak. There was two very small eggs which I will post at a later time! This was a very hard thing to photograph! It is about six feet off the ground and with the leaves all around, and with a little wind There was constant obstructions Every time I tried to move to see her she would fly. So I bent some limbs and sat in a place I could see and it was not long before she returned, and to my surprise she had this material in her beak! I guess she was just putting the extras in the nest! I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens. ISO 400 250/sec f8 with pop up flash hand held
