This is baby Ruby throated humming birds. I have been watching these day by day. I found this nest just before the eggs was laid. I saw the parent bird put the finishing touches on the nest, which is made from cotton wood tree fiber, spider webs and tree liken. These babies are so special to me. I know it won't be to much longer they will be leaving the nest. Just to give you an idea of the size. The nest opening is about the size of a Quarter. This was taken 07-22-11 they hatched 07-04-11. I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 12-60mm lens ISO 400 250 sec f11 pop up flash.
