This is a female Ruby Throated Humming bird! This little girl was about to land on the feeder perch and I shot at the right time! I have posted several of these birds. This is all I have been shooting for the past several days! I have a stool set up to sit on. My flash is set on the tripod! I shoot hand held most of the time but for these shots I am using a monopod! My camera with this big lens gets very heavy! I have been having a bit of trouble with noise! I have been trying several different ISO numbers and f stops. I am using an Olympus E3 camera with a 70-300mm lens ISO 400 1000/sec f11 external flash off camera mounted on tripod.
