Artist Notes
I was driving in the pouring rain on my way to my sons family and saw this by the road. I immediately told my wife i'm coming back in the morning. I did and got to meet the gentleman that hand cut these out of plywood. After our lengthly chat, i made a new friend. Our freedom was at the cost of far too many great men. Let us cherish it!
cleaned a little, and contrast upped a little.

Aug13th 2000 I had a pipeline accident that changed the course of my life. 2mths earlier, I had just completed an 8 1/2yr conversion of a 99acre- basically dead bush- into a functioning wildlife project. I HAD NO INTEREST IN PHOTOGRAPHY. My reasons were just to give back, and do what i think i was inspired to do.After the accident it was dark for me for awhile, though i never lost faith. Just couldn't see direction or purpose. Then thru a series of events that most would say is bizarre, but what i now know was inspired by the great I Am [remember Charlten Heston in the 10 Commandments-buning bush scene-saying "Who do i tell Pharoah, sent me? reply: "Say I AM That I AM sends you], i was led towards wildlife photography. Neat how 28mths after the accident waiting for me was my own private wildlife project, that during that time wildlife seemed to really find and visit often. I've been clicking ever since [on my better days].
He is a ranked traditional photographer and is currently at the #14 spot on this years rankings.
