Artist Notes
This is a shot of Club Med 2. She came 4 nights ago to the tiny island of Mayereau, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Club Med 2 is one of the very few 5 masted sailing vessels. I think only 2 exist world wide, the Club Med 2 and the Royal Clipper. She is 194 m (640') long, 20 m (66') wide and can carry 368 passengers and 214 crew. She travels at 10-15 knots under sail. ca. 26,000 sq ft (2,400 m2) in seven triangular Dacron self-furled sails on five masts.
When she approached she looked like a "floating birthday cake", until she was close...!
This shot was taken with a Panasonic, handheld and standing on a (moving) boat's deck - so certainly not very very sharp LOL
