Artist Notes
This is a female "White Spotted Parrot Fish", about 14 " long. She waited at the cleaning station for a while, always indicating with her spread fins and posture that she wanted to be cleaned and finally the little gobies took pity of her...
The male is lighter in color. This type of parrot fish can change color to blend in with their surroundings, a good passive defense against predators. They live in all tropical waters, up to a depth of 60'.
This shot was taken on a reef around Carriacou, north of Greanada with a Panasonic DMC-TZ18 in underwater housing. F/5.4, 1/100 sec, ISO-100, exp +0.3
crop, burned some hotspots and adjusted the light
