Artist Notes
This past July, as I was checking on my chickens, I heard a baby bird crying in the chicken house.
The sound was coming from a part of the chicken house that wasn't supposed to have any babies in it, but the babies will go through small holes between the cages and sometimes have to be rescued.
When I reached the sound, I found this baby Mockingbird. Apparently he had flown into the chicken cage to get some water and the chickens had chased him into the house. He did not know what to do.
Camera always close I snapped a few shots as I carefully picked him up and carried him to the pasture closest to the chicken yard. As I set him down, close to some bushes, I saw his mom fly overhead looking for him. She saw where I had placed him and came to his rescue as soon as I left.
Photo was taken with my Canon T1i Camera with a Tamron 18-270 mm Lens. Handheld; 1/400 sec; f/7.1 ISO 1250.
Adjusted Lighting; Sharpened; Cropped

Rebecca was born with a love for animals, and nature as a whole. Throughout her life, she has always had a very close relationship with nature, seeing animals as individuals who share the planet with her. When she decided to take up photography as a hobby, it just came natural to photograph the things she loves.
Her expertise is taking photographs 'up close and personal' so she can show the individual animal's personality. This has resulted in many exquisite photographs that touch the heart and has won her many awards and much praise.
Just recently, she made the decision to share some of her beautiful photographs with the world.
