The painting is a portrait of a young Mayan woman who was selling Artisans at a market place in Merida, Mexico. She has family who need to eat; so she was selling her and her husbands artisans. She wasn not sure what to think of that person what ask her to make some scratches and photos of her until later when we had a, for both sides, very interesting conversation. She has a degree in Archaeology; but INAH [National Institute of Anthropology and History] has no money to employ scientists wile more than 80% of the lands treasures remain uncovered. Some hours after we saw each other the first time we parted as friends.
