Today I have been playing around with 4 "ingredients". Ice,dead leaves, light and my camera. Yesterday I filled a shallow basin with water and spread dead leaves on the surface. Then I placed it in the freezer. When I took it up today the water had turned to ice with some really good textures. First I took some shots just as it was, but I thought it turned out sort of flat. Then I got the idea to take out the whole block of ice and sit on the top of two glasses. I put a candle underneath it, and the effect was amazing. It probably turned out a bit more abstract than I had visualized in my mind, but at least I am now sitting with a whole lot of interesting textures I can use in other works later. In one of the shots it looked like a lady was sitting under the ice, and I will post this one later. I am not at all sure how this is going to be received, but of course I hope you will like it.
