Seven Hills Winery in the Clare Valley was established by the Austrian Jesuits in 1870 after they came to Australia to escape political and religious oppression. Originally they produced sacramental wines for the emerging Catholic parishes around Australia. Today they have increased wine production to include a diverse range of wine styles including some very nice fortified wines. The wine crusher was on display outside the wine tasting old stone building.
