Artist Notes
These were two old cottages built in the late 1800's when Norwood was first settled. Very small with only one bedroom each but on a large block of land, which these days will fit at least two if not three reasonable size town houses. Demolition started about two weeks ago with a frenzy of work then suddenly came to a stop. I believe someone may have forgotten to disconnect the power, believe it has been turned off but the connection is still there on the side wall. So many of these old places are being demolished to make room for the new, our history isn't that old but it is a shame we cannot preserve what little we have.

Hi, My name is Mary and have enjoyed being a member of FAR since 2011 when I retired. I have learnt so much from the family of photographers on this site and hopefully will continue to improve my knowledge during the coming year (2013). I have returned to temporary work recently (3 weeks has now become 5 months) which has reduced the amount of time I can get out with the camera but will try very hard to ensure work doesn't impact too much.
