Artist Notes
This baby sparrow had an unusual start to life.
It's mother, or at least the mother who hatched the egg and cared for him as a baby, is a A Wren.
We have a Wren that has lived and nested on our property for years. She always nests close to the house or shop [sometimes in the shop] and feels very comfortable knowing that we will not harm her or her chicks. This year she decided to build her nest in a box that had been placed close to my housplants on our patio.
The first baby to emerge from this nest was this little one, which my husband calls "Fuzzy". We watched as the momma wren would bring food to him while he hung out amoung our house plants.
His three nest mates, which are wrens, were still in the nest. Momma Wren would split her time between this baby sparrow and her 3 little wren babies.
This Photo was taken with my Canon Rebel T2i camera with a Canon 100 mm Macro Lens. 1/125 sec; f/2.8; 2500 ISO.
Small adjustment to lighting; cropped; Resized for FAR

Rebecca was born with a love for animals, and nature as a whole. Throughout her life, she has always had a very close relationship with nature, seeing animals as individuals who share the planet with her. When she decided to take up photography as a hobby, it just came natural to photograph the things she loves.
Her expertise is taking photographs 'up close and personal' so she can show the individual animal's personality. This has resulted in many exquisite photographs that touch the heart and has won her many awards and much praise.
Just recently, she made the decision to share some of her beautiful photographs with the world.
