Oratory was considered an important art amongst the Nez Perce , and Chief Joseph is considered by many to have delivered the most elloquant and moving speehes amonst so many similar ones during the conflicts between Native Americans and the authorities , on his surrender to General Howard he delivered these words "I am tired of fighting Our Chiefs are dead.Looking Glass is dead,It is cold andwe have no blankets, The little children are freezing to death, Some of them have run away into the hills with no blankets and no food, perhaps freezing to death .I want to have time to look for my children and see how many i can find, Mybe i will find them among the dead . Hear me my chiefs, I am tired , my heart is sick and sad, From where the sun now stands , I will fight no more forever

David is from the north of England and recently retired having had his own small construction company for 42years. He always tended to lean to more physical passtimes i.e. hiking , running , cycleing and tai chi, only dabbleing occasionally in art and photography, Now retired he has found the time to spend trying to develope his art , only taking photo,s whem on holiday or weekends away , but still see,s photography as an extension to the way he views art , applying the same rules and aspirations
