Artist Notes
Spending the day at the science museum I was inspired. There were so many fun things to do. I wanted to go where no man had been.

Mars was a great place. I had to get away from all of the silliness on earth if only for a little while.

The weather is dry but the drinks are wonderful from the underground water source...They have the ultimate in an Atomic Martini...my fave.

Here I am star bathing, I had to keep up on my Mars tan. :)

Photo of mars was taken at the Science center:

Shutter Speed 1/5
Aperture F4
ISO 1600

Photo of the model:

Shutter speed 1/40
Aperture F4
ISO 500
Ten second timer
Using a Sony NEX-3

There were multipule layers and many filters used in photoshop Elements 8 to achieve this effect. I am still working on techniques. There were about over a dozen layers with effects.

Thanks for sharing my moment on Mars. I saved up for this trip :) Have a great day!!!

Oh yes, as in the words of my new friend Marvin the Martian of course "Where's the Kaboom? There's supposed to be an Earth shattering kaboom?" I had to remind him of the weight difference in the Mars atmosphere. I weigh a lovely 49 lbs so no heavy weight here. ** giggles** Silly Martian. :D

Multipule photos used and many filters to acheive this combination.

I have a strong desire to be an artist...my tool of choice is the camera aided with programs to help me with expressions I have on the inside :)

My name is Valerie I started on this journey filled with a passion for a way to allow my art to come to life.

I am a wife, mother and a grandmother :) I am my own friend and worst critic. What I do here is not to offend anyone but allow me to express myself as I see my vision. It's funny when I think about it ...but I am very self-conscious person. Having said that...When I feel inspired to capture a moment...I put all things aside and allow the feeling to flow. The moments I capture...are moments of passion and romance, it is not about me but a moment....that is where I choose to play.(10 seconds to get it right...what a challenge)

Would my peers and family approve?
Probably not...but again I may be surprised :)

This is a personal journey for me.

So it is with camera in hand and a ...
