Artist Notes
This is oleander in full bloom last May in Erbil, the regional capital of Iraqi Kurdistan. I caught sight of these tall, brilliantly flowering bushes while proceeding down the appropriately named Gulan (flowery) Street. I took this shot through the taxi window with my Olympus V320 camera and was amazed at how well it turned out.

Tinlight (an alias) is a working journalist who considers her primary artistic talent to be writing.
Recently she noticed her on-location reporting was becoming more visual, and that at her most inspired she had been using words to paint mind pictures. This stirred a desire to learn more about visual art.
While her lifelong interest in animals and nature initially steered her towards wildlife photography, tinlight is now also beginning to experiment with digital art.
Tinlight enjoys reviewing the work of others and has been awed by the profusion of talent on display at FanArtReview.
She is a ranked digital artist and is currently at the #30 spot on this years rankings.
