Artist Notes
Nowadays there are many new reflective buildings in NYC and frequently they reflect the older ones nearby creating compelling beautiful and original images. In this one shadows and light play a big part. It's divided into 3 parts--on the left is a reflection of a building in the shadow, then in the middle, a reflection of an elaborate art deco building. The third panel on the right is the sky with an ordinary building.
Nikon D90, f/4.5, 1/1250sec, ISO 400, 105 mm, hand held
In Camera Raw adjusted vibrance, contrast, clarity, and exposure. De-noised. Adjusted color in PS6, used Topaz Clean to enhance details.

Hello, I am Paula. I am a psychiatrist in New York City. As someone who observes and remembers I have always thought that psychology and photography were inextricably interwoven. I started taking pictures in earnest when my youngest child went to college and I have been addicted ever since. My son taught me how to use photoshop a year ago and I'm still learning every day. I love the way photography allows me to capture a moment in time that would normally be forgotten and make it unforgettable. I stand in awe of all the beautiful things nature has created, and am challenged to do their images justice.
