Artist Notes
The great horned owl, is very adaptable, and live side by side with man easily. He will eat medium sized mammals, including porcupines and skunks. They breed in the winter, and usually take over an old nest of a large hawk or crow. These are the owls with the harmonious voices you often hear at night. They will nest in caves or hollow trees, and do not have a big fear of man.
