Artist Notes
The fluke of a juvenile Blue Whale (Balaenoptera Musculus). These are the largest animals known to man. They can reach up to 110 feet and weigh up to 200 tons, they eat about 4 tons of Krill (small shrimp like animal) daily and can dive up to 1640 feet deep and stay under for up to 20 min. When they surface the sound coming from the spout can reach 188 decibels louder than a jet at 140 decibels.
