Treasures from beachcombing during a natural history trip to Oman's Musandam Peninsula. Pictured here, arranged on a rock slab at the beach: various shells, stones, a cuttlefish bone, a chunk of coral, a hermit crab which was later returned to the sea. Shot with an Olympus V320 camera on macro setting.

Tinlight (an alias) is a working journalist who considers her primary artistic talent to be writing.
Recently she noticed her on-location reporting was becoming more visual, and that at her most inspired she had been using words to paint mind pictures. This stirred a desire to learn more about visual art.
While her lifelong interest in animals and nature initially steered her towards wildlife photography, tinlight is now also beginning to experiment with digital art.
Tinlight enjoys reviewing the work of others and has been awed by the profusion of talent on display at FanArtReview.
