Artist Notes
This is a big willow tree that I see on my walks along the river. I was using all wet paper to get that wispy look of the willow leaves. This is a new technique for me. Hope you like it.

Blackell is a Canadian who has worked and had solo shows in Toronto, Montreal, and the Maritimes. She moved to Ottawa to be closer to be her grandchildren, and has fallen in love with the area. She finally has a dream studio and a condo with her husband overlooking the Ottawa river. Having grown up by the sea in New Brunswick, she feels the necessity of being close to water, and paint it too.She works in alkyd oils, watercolor,and pastels.
