Artist Notes
This spring so many gorgeous tulips came up that I didn't have a chance to show them all. The parrot tulips are the most elaborate, and difficult to photograph because of it. Fortunately, here is a good shot that shows the beauty and complexity of the parrot. Nature can really create beautiful things!! Amazing to me!!
Nikon D90, f/32, 1/30sec, ISO 400, 180mm, tripod.
This is dedicated to Olga (Life is but a Dream) who has given so much to FAR and whose photographs shine with her caring about human beings.
Minor adjustments in Camera Raw, Topaz De-noise 5, Topaz Clean 2 for crispness, Topaz Detail, Select and darken bg, Crop.

Hello, I am Paula. I am a psychiatrist in New York City. As someone who observes and remembers I have always thought that psychology and photography were inextricably interwoven. I started taking pictures in earnest when my youngest child went to college and I have been addicted ever since. My son taught me how to use photoshop a year ago and I'm still learning every day. I love the way photography allows me to capture a moment in time that would normally be forgotten and make it unforgettable. I stand in awe of all the beautiful things nature has created, and am challenged to do their images justice.
