McLaren Vale 40 minutes drive from Adelaide in South Australia is renown for its wine and has so many wineries BUT as it was Fathers Day and my husband prefers beer we decided to visit one of the many boutique breweries which are popping up around Adelaide. With these stainless steel vats and machinery they produce four types of beer, Pale Ale, Pilsner, Wheat Beer (which had a hint of banana and cloves) and Stout (strong coffee flavour). Not being a beer drinker myself I did have a taste and the pilsner was my favourite the others who do enjoy beer thought they were all great and ended up taking some of those 6 packs home to enjoy. Myself and my daughter in law couldn't wait to get to the winery where they have real drinks :)
