Down the memory lane-1

I did this watercolour painting for my one-man show in India in 1980. It was sponsored by Alliance Francaise, Bangalore city in South India.. This was my mother's favourite painting which she was proudly displaying by her side till the time of her death in 1994.I did't want to part with it with any one and brought it back with me to Bombay (it is now renamed Mumbai!)

I did't paint for over 2 decades, caught up as I was in the rat race.I started painting only after 2001 when I was out of the rat race!:)
Somehow I forgot to post this on FAR till now. It was difficult to photograph it as it was framed under glass. I took the shot from a distance of 6 feet away from direct light to avoid reflections.
This was done on handmade paper 15"x22".I have cropped the image an slightly strengthed the values.
Enjoy!

Years rushed by
With pages of calendar
Life took many turns
Traveled different routes

Today, I took a ??U' turn
And walked along a road
That took me years back
Down the memory lane
