A night away we were visiting McLaren Vale renown winery area. Noticed a sign for Gemtree Wetland so decided to take a look. Probably not the best time of year to visit as it has been the driest summer on record and the temperature which had been forecast for 30C had headed upward of that. The loop trail however wasn't too far and in the hope that we would spot some interesting birdlife (which didn't happen) we decided to meander along the trail. We came across this very different design bench seat which had been placed to sit and enjoy the view of the wetland waters and birds. Unfortunately today there was just dust and ants to view.
