Adelaide Zoo once again and this guy was on the move, I think it was the male one as it seemed to be larger than the other tortoise he was following. Similar in size to the famous Galapagos Giant Tortoise, mature males have an average carapace (shell) length of 122cm and weight 250kg or more. An adult female averages 91cm and averages 159kg. Males also have longer, thicker tails than females. They can get up to a speed of 1km per hour (0.62mph). There were 2 fences between the path I was on and there area so obviously they weren't going to let visitors get too close to these mamoth reptiles.
