Mixed Media Photograph of the Month Contest Entry

Most of the flamingos at Flamingo Gardens were brought over from Hialeah race track when they closed down. Their main attraction, the flamingos needed a place they were cared for. These are Carribean Flamingos. Beautiful in color and full of zest for life. They get their color from the pink shrimp they eat. This one seemed eager to get rid of older feathers and make way for the new. He got rid of his flaws. :) Nikon D7000; 1/1600s; f/5.6
