A chapter in the book Wildlife

Lynx

The Eurasian Lynx has a short stubby tail which is compensated for by its tufted ears and sideburns. As it can't use its tail to communicate in the same way as other cats, the lynx moves its ears and sideburns to the same effect with each movement having a certain meaning. The lynx hunts in areas of woodland, hiding in the undergrowth to stalk its prey - birds or small mammals. I used soft chalk pastels on pastel paper for this. Hope you like it.
