I took this photograph in 2014 and have re-promoted as sadly Karta gave birth to a stillborn baby (her 7th loss) and a few hours later due to complications lost her own life. It is such a sad time for the keepers and her mate Kluett. The pregnancy wasn't planned as she was on contraception but as happens with humans also it is not a 100% failsafe method to ensure no pregnancy. RIP Karta 01/26/2017
